Good Design Carpet Project

The object is made in 3 components.

The vertical part is made from soft, thread-like elements knotted in small tufts which are distributed from a central nucleus. Each thread-like element has an internal sheath, green in color with a dulled, rounded, v-shaped or sharpened point depending on its origin. The surface is rough to allow water to be held before settling on the bottom.

From the central node of green threads, groups of whitish, slightly furry and contorted rigid cones are distributed in the opposite direction which, with a sinuous path, penetrate inside the soft under layer. The cones have the function of a system for anchoring and absorption. The soft layer formed by a slightly compact, dark colored porous cushion serves both as a support and container for energy supplying the elements above. The methodical rigor with which the the different components have been assembled render the system easily shapable to the extent that is can be rolled up and moved with ease. Thanks to these simple features, they make it a material adaptable for multiple applica-tions.
